Amelie (アメリ, Ameri^?) is a female Djungarian hamster Jewelpet who represents Bonds.

Appearance

Amelie is a Djungarian hamster with grey fur and tail, a darker grey stripe on the top of her head, pink paws and a white belly. Her Jewel Eyes are made out of purple amethysts. For her attire, she wears a pair of lime green ribbons around both of her ears and a pink pearl necklace with a purple diamond-shaped amethyst jewel attached around her neck.

In Jewelpet, her ribbons become dark green after she is corrupted by Dian.

Charm Form

Amelie's Jewel Charm is green and hexagon-shaped with purple heart-shaped amethyst gems decorated onto it and has pink lining.

Personality

According to the official website, Amelie is depicted as a lonely maiden who's longing for true love.

In Jewelpet, she is mostly kind-hearted and energetic.

In Jewelpet Twinkle☆, she is described as a person who is good at sarcasm.

Skills

As the Jewelpet of Bonds, Amelie's magic can make bonds between two people and keep their relationship safe. In the first series, she can also create links between babies/toddlers and their parents.

History

In Jewelpet

Amelie is a member of the Jewel Eight. In episode 34, Dian curses her into making human babies turn against their parents. She is eventually reclaimed by Rinko's group through a race in the Jewel Games.

In Jewelpet Twinkle☆

Amelie is the partner of Angelina Grand Maniel Chocola Julliangeli, and antagonizes Ruby, Garnet, and Sapphie. She considers Sapphie as her main rival.

In Jewelpet Sunshine

Amelie is a pirate captain known as Captain Amethyst, and she is tasked with guarding the Rainbow Jewel. She is in fact from a long running family of pirates, with her being the ninth generation.

In Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!

Amelie is stuck in Paradise Village, a desert town that hates jewels. She serves Goriking as his personal maid until she is rescued by Ruby and her friends.

In Jewelpet Happiness

Amelie attends the Christmas party in the Jewelpet Café Happiness who eventually forms a Magic Gem of her own.

• Amelie's jewel motif is the amethyst, a violet variety of quartz often used in jewelry. The name comes from the Ancient Greek ἀ a- ("not") and μέθυστος methustos ("intoxicated"), a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness.
• Amelie is born in February, the month correspondent to her jewel.
  • It is also her birthstone's month.
• Amelie was the smallest Jewelpet before the introduction of Charotte.
  • Thus, she is the second smallest Jewelpet to date.
• Amelie being portrayed as a pirate in Jewelpet Sunshine may be a reference to Jewelpet (season 1) were she was part of the Jewel Eight, a small group of Jewelpets who went in boat to the Devil's Strait awful triangle where they got lost.
• She is voiced by Aoi Yūki, famous for the role of Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nodoka Hanadera from Healin' Good Pretty Cure and Mieru Hochun in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.
