Charon (かろん Karon?) is a major character in Lady Jewelpet. She is best friends with Momona and Mizuki and one of the Petite Ladies in training. Her Jewelpet mentor is Sapphie.
Appearance[]
Charon has long, mocha brown hair that is usually placed into two braids held by two little star clips. Casually, she is seen wearing a black turtleneck sweater with a loose white overshirt and red rectangular glasses. She also wears a brown and ochre skirt with thigh high black socks and brown boots. Unlike the other characters, Charon's hair changes when she is in her Lady form. Her hair is let loose and wavy and is still held back by her star clips.
Personality[]
Charon is shy and has low self-esteem, yet she is very kind to others, especially towards those who she calls her friends. She likes reading a lot of books and is also very oblivious. Charon also loves Levin but gets annoyed by his love for her.
History[]
Charon is a Petite Lady and resides in the Jewel Palace. Sapphie is her Jewelpet mentor.
She didn’t want to be a Petite Lady, until she met Sapphie. Before, she wanted to be a romantic novelist, and wished to be just like the heroine in that story she had her sister read to her.[1].
In A Lady Must Be Splendid in Selfies, Charon was shown blushing at Levin, indicating that she started to have feeling for him.
In Reading is Part of Being a Lady Charon started writing for an exciting novel as an anonymous author. She originally kept it as a draft, but accidentally sent it to everyone. Levin knew her secret from the beginning, so he began to help her out with writing her novel and help her sneaking into the library at night to write. Then one night, Levin and Charon had to escape quickly because Angela was on security, but Charon dropped her notebook. After Lady Rector recruited the Petite Ladies help to find the author, Lillian found the notebook and gave it to Lady Rector. However, Levin pretended to be the author to protect Charon, causing him to end up on house arrest for 3 days. Feeling bad for Levin, Charon told the truth, and she also ended up in confinement for a few days. After this experience, Levin and Charon became closer.
In Creating an Album is Part of Being a Lady Levin helped Charon when she started to feel homesick. At sunset Charon and Levin gotten closer and Levin confess his feelings for her.
In episode 21, Levin proposed to her, and she accepted his proposal.

- Charon is the only main character to change hairstyles in her Lady form.
- Her name comes from the planet Pluto's largest moon Charon.
- Charon's voice actress, Miki Shimomura, is part of the group Fairies, who did the opening and ending songs for Jewelpet Happiness and Lady Jewelpet.
- This is her first, and so far only time where she ever voiced an anime character, same for Rinko Kougyoku and Minami Asaoka's voice actress.
- Charon wrote books and novels[2][3] and she wants to become a picture book author[4] and a romantic novelist. [1]Charon wants to help create picture books[5] and she want the future ladies to read her romantic stories.
- Charon has never removed her glasses in-series. The only instance she was shown without glasses was when her sister Eris had a flashback about them as children.
