Hello Kitty (ハロー・キティ Harō Kiti?) is a fictional cartoon character created by Yuko Shimizu and produced by Sanrio. Since her creation in 1974, she has become a staple character in the kawaii media where she appeared in a dozen Sanrio media and franchise, including toys, TV shows, video games, and merchandise.
