Jewel Charms (ジュエルチャーム Jueru Chāmu?) are the forms that Jewelpets turn into in their down-time. The specifics of how they work, their utility and their sizes vary from series to series.
In the Anime[]
In Jewelpet[]
Each Jewelpet has their own Jewel Charm and is considered their "sleeping" state after the magicians cast a special spell on them. The Jewelpets stay in that form until they are awakened by either Rinko or Dian.
In Jewelpet Twinkle☆[]
The Jewel Charm is a symbol of a Jewelpet's bond between a Jewelpet and their human partner and is used as a magical device by the people chosen by their Jewelpet partners. The caster needs to say "twinkle, twinkle, magical charm, winkle, winkle, jewel flash!" to activate the magical powers while they also change the caster's costume in the process to increase its magical potential. If a magician is in a struggle than they’re Jewel Charm shine disappear until that conflict was resolved like with Akari when she thought Monica and Yuuma were in love.
In Jewelpet Sunshine[]
Jewel Charms are where all the Jewelpets originally came from. After casting magic, the Jewelpet must remain in their Jewel Charm form to recharge their energy.
In Jewelpet Kira☆Deco![]
The setting of Jewel Charms being where Jewelpets came from was remained. Jewelpets turn back into their Jewel Charm form when they are severely injured.
In Jewelpet Happiness[]
Jewel Charms made a brief appearance in the first episode, but after that they never appeared nor were mentioned.
In Lady Jewelpet[]
Jewel Charms were replaced with normal-looking gems. A Jewelpet returns to this form when they are severely injured or sealing themself.
In Jewelpet Magical Change[]
Jewel Charms made a brief appearance in the beginning of the opening sequence. They also appeared in the first episode in the form of a book, but then they never appeared nor were mentioned.

- All 34 original Jewelpets (from Ruby to Alex & Brownie)'s Jewel Charm were introduced in Jewelpet (Season 1).
- There's only 4 Jewelpets whose Jewel Charm where introduce in another Jewelpet series.
- Angela and Charotte's Jewel Charm were introduced in Jewelpet Twinkle☆.
- Jasper's Jewel Charm was first seen in Jewelpet Twinkle☆ in the after credits short episodes "Doki☆ Doki☆ The Secrets Of Jewel Land" in JPT42.
- His Jewel Charm was lately proprely introduced in a special Jewelpet Twinkle☆ video posted on the official Sanrio Youtube Channel.
- Rosa's Jewel Charm was introduced at the end of Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!.
- So far, she's the last Jewelpet to have her Jewel Charm introduced in the animated serie.
- Despite being introduced before Rosa in the series, Granite and Coal's Jewel Charms were only reaveled in official characters books.
- Luea's Jewel Charm was also only reaveled in official characters books.
- So far, Larimar is the only Jewelpet who never had a Jewel Charm of her own.
- This is probably due to the fact that she was introduced in Lady Jewelpet where the Jewel Charms were replaced by realistic-looking jewel.
- 8 Jewel Charms are knowed to have different color variations:
- Ruby, Garnet and Sapphie's Jewel Charms have their color slighly changed during JP52.
- Chite's Jewel Charm is first seen in JP05 with a yellow color base wich was kept on his toy Jewel Charm. But in the following series, his Jewel Charm color base was changed to a light brown. (seen in Jewelpet Twinkle☆'s title cards and eyecatches and Jewelpet Sunshine first opening)
- King's Jewel Charm first appear in JP07 (saw again in JP35) with the weighing scale at the center of his Jewel Charm having a cyan color and a purple bow. This version of his Jewel Charm is last saw in the anime in JPT01. After that the item at the center of his Jewel Charm was changed to a bright red color. It can be seen in Jewelpet Twinkle☆'s title cards and eyecatches and Jewelpet Sunshine openings. The last time we saw his Jewel Charm in the anime was in JPS15a were it appeared with its pink and red colors. This version of his Jewel Charm is also the one used for his toy Jewel Charm.
- King's Jewel Charm first appearance in JP08 has a emerald-colored base and a magenta pink heart. Though this is the only case were we see this version of his Jewel Charm, after that his Jewel Charm is always seen with a white color base, a green heart and a pink bow.
- Ryl's Jewel Charm first appear in JP09 with a red and white color. This version of her Jewel Charm his the one used and saw in all the series. It's also the one used for her toy Jewel Charm. The other version of her Jewel Charm have a more purple color and is seen in the same episode her Jewel Charm first apperance. Two version of this episode exit : the early TV one and the DVD one. This explains the two different version of the same scene were her Jewel Charm appears.
- Yuku's Jewel Charm have always been seen in the anime with a yellow color base. Though his toy Jewel Charm has a dark brown color base, probably to match his fur color.
- Jewel Charms are ofter seen in Jewel Flash sequence.
- They are central to the Jewel Flash spell-casting in Jewelpet Twinkle☆ and Jewelpet Sunshine.
- They can sometimes be seen in some Jewelpet's Jewel Flash sequence in Jewelpet Kira☆Deco! but it is not systematic.
- In Jewelpet (Season 1) and Jewelpet Twinkle☆ Jewel Charms don't exceed the size of an egg.
- From Jewelpet Sunshine Jewel Charms size change from the two first series and are now the same size as their corresponding Jewelpets.
- Jewel Charms are recurent in the first four seasons, but almost completly disappear in the anime afterwards.
- They are mentioned in the first episode of Jewelpet Happiness but are never seen after in this season.
- The last time we saw them in the serie was in the first episode of Jewelpet Magical Change, probably as an homage.
