Lapis (ラピス, Rapisu^?) is a female Russian Blue Jewelpet who represents Strong Fortune and the Destruction of Evil.

Appearance

Lapis is a Russian Blue cat with a slender, blueish-grey body and cyan inner ears. Her Jewel Eyes are made out of dark azure lapides lazuli. For her attire, she wears a gold beaded bracelet on her left paw and a gold collar with a large, tear-shaped lapis lazuli jewel attached around her neck.

In Jewelpet, her bracelet becomes dark purple after she is corrupted by Dian.

Charm Form

Lapis' Jewel Charm is hexagon-shaped. It is mostly colored aqua blue with yellow beads and a yellow teardrop-shaped gem in the center.

Personality

According to the official website, Lapis is depicted as a horoscope lover who looks up at the stars of the night sky for good fortune.

In the anime, Lapis tends to be portrayed as one of the more mature and snarkier Jewelpets. While corrupted by the Red Moon in Jewelpet Happiness, she also developed a tricky and mean attitude, as seen when she captured and tickle tortured Ruruka, Sapphie, Chiari and Ruby, tickling the latter two herself on their feet.

Skills

In Lapis' official setting in the franchise, she represents Strong Fortune. As the Jewelpet of Strong Fortune, Lapis' magic brings lucky happenings to humans and increases their fortune. She also has the power of the Destruction of Evil, allowing humans to vanquish anyone or anything evil. In Jewelpet, she mainly wields the power of the latter.

She can also sense whether someone is good or evil in Jewelpet, as seen when she first meets Dian.

History

In Jewelpet

Lapis is one of the Jewel Eight. She is the only member of the group to win against Rinko and her friends in the Jewel Games, making her a permanent part of Dian's group. King joins her, being in love with her, but they both manage to escape Dian later in the series.

In Jewelpet Twinkle☆

Lapis appears in the sports festival episode and tells Ruby what will happen to her in the event through her power of fortune-telling.

In Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!

Lapis runs her own bar, known for having a more mature and sophisticated atmosphere than other bars around. The members of the Decoranain in particular favor this bar, especially Coal, Io, and Kaiser. At one point, Blue also attends her bar as well as Opal (when she is cursed by Kaiser).

In Jewelpet Happiness

Lapis becomes possessed by the Red Moon in episode 31. She used to be in a relationship with the school nurse, whom she creates a Magic Gem with, along with Ruruka Hanayama, who helped her remember the nurse's love for her.

In Lady Jewelpet

She had a cameo with Peridot, Jasper, Nix and Luna.
